Teaching Methods

The classes are of theoretical-practical na-ture, combining expository sessions with the presentation of cases-studies and debate among students, researchers and teaching staff involved in the PhD programme.

Learning Outcomes

The objectives of this UC are as follows:
1) Analysis and reflection on the role of the State in industrial development, creation of mechanisms to promote innovation and scientific and technological research.
2) Analysis and reflection on the basic principles and philosophies of industrial, innovation and research policies.
3) Analysis and reflection on the main historical landmarks at national and international levels Industrial, innovation and research policies.
4) Analysis and reflection on the main axes of interception between industrial, innovation and research policies.
5) Analysis and reflection based on specific cas-es of programs and measures of industrial, innovation and research policies in Portugal.
