Teaching Methods

The UC combines the exposition of the theoretical approaches on the factors of economic development and the critical analysis of national cases through the debate of texts in class, developed both by the students and teacher. 

Learning Outcomes

1. Present and explain the trends of economic development factors in the light of different theoretical approaches. 2. Study in comparative terms the processes of economic development throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, considering some national cases. 3. Discuss the economic backwardness in historical perspective.
