Elective
2nd Cycle Studies - Mestrado
Recommended Prerequisites
Fundamentals of Communication Systems, Digital Communication Systems, Information and Coding Theory.
Teaching Methods
In the theoretical classes the topics proposed are presented in detail, using audiovisual resources and trying to involve the students through the discussion of the exposed subjects.
In the laboratory classes the practical aspects associated with the transmission of signals over the different studied technologies are analyzed.
Learning Outcomes
To provide the knowledge that enables future engineers to use/manage the different transport and access networks technologies which are, or might be, in service in telecommunication networks. The study of the emerging technologies for transport and access networks should also aid the integration in research and development teams in this area, particularly in the ones that exist in our country.
