Knowledge of English Language and knowledge of architectural or archaeology design.

Teaching Methods

Master classes on themes of archaeology and landscape. Invited Schoolars in these domains will give seminars and master lectures. There will be other lectures dedicated to discussion of topics, in which graphic images and records will be subjected to debate and interpretation.

Learning Outcomes

The course unit Landscape and Archaeology traces the constitutive role of the archaeology in the construction of the modern and contemporary landscape in relation to aesthetics, imaginary and intervention theory in open space.

Themes: archeology and landscape as modern disciplines: traits of a common evolution between conservation and loss; evolution of the relationship between excavations, sites, discoveries and landscape systematization; from the defined space of the archaeological park to the open territories of the archaeological remains; landscape archeology; relationships between archaeological value, biodiversity and local communities; relations between archaeological knowledge and technical changes in urban and landscape planning; reintegration and green rereading of urban archeology; the role of agriculture; valorization of invisible archeology.
