Teaching Methods

In this course, teaching is based on theoretical and theoretical-practical classes. In the lectures, the concepts and fundamental techniques are presented and discussed. In theoretical-practical classes several typical problems are solved analytically and, in some cases, the respective solutions are confirmed by means of simulations.

Learning Outcomes

In this course, basic skills for the analysis and understanding of the operating principle of electromagnetic devices, electrical and/or magnetic circuits, electrical transformers, electromechanical energy conversion systems and AC asynchronous and DC rotating machines are developed. It is also intended that students acquire skills in analysis and synthesis, written communication, problem solving, critical thinking, independent learning and practical application of theoretical knowledge.
