Recommended Prerequisites
General knowledge in architecture and archaeology.
Teaching Methods
a) Online lectures, by academic staff of the universities involved.
b) Online lectures by representatives of administration services, responsible for the protection and management of archeological sites and monuments in the the three countries as well as in other countries of EE.
c) Additional online lectures by representatives of international organizations, related to the protection of cultural heritage and landscape, as for example ICOMOS or IFLA.
Learning Outcomes
This Curricular Unit have as main outcome to givenformation about legislation and conventions on heritage and archaeologic proteccion. This outcome is achieved through the training of skills in analysis, comparison and evaluation of legislation and conventions, such as:
a) Comparative knowledge of legislation and conventions, concerning protection and management of archaeological sites and historical monuments, in the three countries involved in the program.
b) Knowledge of legislation and conventions, concerning protection and management of archaeological sites and historical monuments, in European Union in general, in comparison.
c) Evaluation of the legislation and conventions, previously analyzed and compared, in relation to their effectiveness in protecting archeological sites and monuments, while allowing for the necessary contemporary interventions.

a) To provide students with the necessary knoweledge concerning legislation and conventions, indispensable for protection and managment of archeological sites and monuments in the countries involved in particular, as well as in European Union in general.
b)To correlate the previous specific legislation with general legislation concerning urban interventions in the countries involved.
c) To offer a comparative knowledge as a necessary ground for the amelioration of the legislation frame in the countries involved.
