Recommended Prerequisites

Although not mandatory, the previous attendance of Animal diversity, Population and Community Ecology classes is suggested. The course is lectured in Portuguese, so that a good domain of this language is required.

Teaching Methods

The theoretical and practical classes will be taught throughout the semester, being also planned two field trips.

Learning Outcomes

After attending the course, the sudents will have acquired specific skills regarding the main characteristics and chalenges of these two economic activities. A special focus will be given to the real case studies. The sustainability of these two activities will be highligthd in the scope of the present challenges concerning environmental and resources protection and sustainability.
