Teaching Methods

The UC establishes no specific teaching methodology, each student will be supervised by a professor / senior researcher according to the theme and scientific field. The supervisor should specify a tutorial program that allows the student to gradually acquire autonomy in the development of literature review and other research tasks. The responsible academic staff member must assign a (tentative) advisor as early as possible, at the beginning of the academic year, in accordance with the research interests expressed by the student during its application.

Learning Outcomes

To acquire improved knowledge concerning a particular research topic, to identify the problems to be considered and to identify possible methods to solve them. The main outcome of the Draft Thesis is a written document which must include:

a) The presentation of the thesis objective, specifying the topic being investigated and identifying the branch of Aerodynamics, natural and technological risks;

b) The context of this subject in a scientific field, state of the art and prospects of development of scientific knowledge in the area;

c) The potential contribution of the thesis to the evolution of scientific knowledge in the area;

d) The work plan to achieve the objective of the thesis.
