Rotation II

Recommended Prerequisites

Previous basic knowledge in Biological Sciences.

Teaching Methods

Tutorial teaching: the student is guided throughout by a supervisor and team members.

Learning Outcomes

The objectives of the course are:

a) immersing the student for an extended period in a professional reality that uses integrated concepts biology for advanced scientific research, services or scientific education

b) expose students to different types of methodologies, types of projects and work environments

c) help in choosing a project to carry out the 2nd year of the Masters

d) exercise oral and written communication skills

e) develop teamwork concepts in a professional environment

Rotation II should not be held in the same place as Rotation I (if the student attended Rotation I in the first semester) in order to diversify the student's training.

Syllabus

A 4 weeks full time internship involving technical work or research taking place in

a) research centers

b) clinical or analytical laboratories

c) biotech or pharmaceutical companies

d) science communication centers

e) science museums

f) natural parks

At the end of the rotation the students present the work performed in a written and / or oral report

Rotation II should not be held in the same place as Rotation I (if the student attended Rotation I in the first semester) in order to diversify the student's training.
