Teaching Methods

Teaching will involve tutorials with Supervisors and selflearning by the student. The percentage of each will vary, but it is expected that students rely more on selfknowledge as time progresses.

Evaluation of a Masters Project will be carried out according to University of Coimbra rules.

Learning Outcomes

The goal is that the student acquire competencies in terms of:

-Critical reading of  relevant literature

-Planning strategies and activities in the field of choice, including the overcoming of constraints (time, conceptual issues, traget audience, financing, etc)

-Critical analysis and presentation of results (both oral and in writing)

In short: the goal is to train competent and autonomous Biologists, ready for professional duties at a Masters level.

Syllabus

The syllabus will be specific according to the different Project topics each student chose. Supervisors and students will, to a large extent, create the syllabus.
