Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical classes with a detailed presentation of the concepts, principles, and of the fundamental theories. In addition, several basic practical exercises will be solved to illustrate the practical interest of the subject and exemplify its application to real cases.

Learning of the general principles underlying the propagation of electromagnetic waves in standard waveguides and in free-space.

Transmission lines in transient and steady-state regimes.

Maxwell Equations.

Propagation of electromagnetic waves in dielectrics and conductors.

Wave polarization.

Incidence of electromagnetic waves at an interface between two materials.

Metallic waveguides with rectangular cross-section.
