Teaching Methods
Lectures on the subject matters of the syllabus will be accompanied by «PowerPoint» slideshows. In particular, analysis of jurisprudence and practical exercises will be performed through the participative method.
Learning Outcomes
The course aims to contribute to the clarification of some problems raised by the existence of jurisdiction pluralism in Portugal – namely conflicts of jurisdiction –, encourage the discussion on the judicial courts specialization and its consequences, the distribution of competence and the conflicts between them, as well as in relation to the competence of the administrative and tax courts (or its sections) and their conflicts.
Students are expected to appreciate critically legal solutions about the above mentioned subjects.
