Teaching Methods

The students will identify the theme and framework of the work to be developed, as well as the planning of the tasks to undertake.The work is started at the beginning of the semester and under the advisers’ supervision. The students make one oral presentation of the work under development at the middle of the semester, for students and the supervisors. Each presentation is followed by a period of questions and suggestions by the audience. The work is presented and defended before a jury appointed by the organic unit of the advisor, which assigns the classification.

Learning Outcomes

The aim of the course is to develop a dissertation, a professional internship or a project, of which a final report will be made. The course pretends to develop:

- Capabilities to make an analysis of the state of the art in the area of the work

- Justified selection of tools and methodologies to be used

- Analysis of the requirements related with the topic to be developed

- Detailed specifications of the system to be used/implemented/developed and/or work to be performed including specific objectives and scheduling

- Initiation in basic and/or applied research

- Capabilities of rigorous and clear written and oral expression

- Self-learning skills

- For the internships, integration in the work world, and contact with the elaboration of projects in na enterprise environment.
