Recommended Prerequisites

Familiarity with the language of literary studies, namely in the domain of the analysis of the literary text. Critical reading and academic writing competences. Technical skills in information handling. Argumentation Skills.

Theoretical presentation, applied work, analysis of teaching  materials.

Learning Outcomes

With this course unit, students should be able to historically situate the studies in the field of the Methodology of Literary Reading, understand and describe theoretical reading models and structure didactical and methodological alternatives for the analysis of the literary text in an educational context.

1. The schooling of literary reading: problems and  contexts.

2. The structure, the process and the didactics of  reading.

3. Theoretical reading models: discursive, semiological and cognitive  models.

4. Trials of didactical and methodological alternatives for teaching practice at the basic, secondary and higher education levels.
