Learning Outcomes

Objetives of CU

Students are expected to deepen their understanding of the concepts, values and threats to biodiversity, ecosystem services, as well as biodiversity management initiatives and tools in urban space available to local governments.
It is intended that this knowledge be applied to the development of a work / project, of an exploratory, applied nature.

 

Competences to be developed by the student:

C1.Identifying the concepts and values of biodiversity;

C2. Identifying the threats to biodiversity and conservation problems;

C3. Describe strategies and legal instruments and policies for biodiversity conservation at national and international level, particularly in urban context;

C4. Applying acquired knowledge to the development of a assignment (applied and/or exploratory nature), relating to the curricular unit contents, presented as written assignments and poster.

Assessment Methods

Continuous assessment
This unit adopts the continuous assessment model, and the final classification of the trainees is the result of the work developed throughout the course (namely, participation in forums and the performance of evaluation activities). The final classification of each student will be expressed in a scale of 0 - 20 points: 100.0%
