Learning Outcomes

Course objectives:

Under the various international guidelines, public policy strategies have been suggested / implemented, such as the EU strategy, ENDS, local agendas 21 and sectoral policies. Its promotion requires different actions depending on the geographic region of implementation, but the efforts have to go through three main areas: bequeathing environmental quality and resources needed by future generations, social development and economic growth and equity.

 

Skills to be developed by the student:

• Know and discuss the concept of sustainable development;

• Analyze and evaluate policy strategies for sustainable development at various levels: global, regional, national and local;

• Identify the main instruments for implementing sustainable development;

• Develop case studies on sustainable development.

Assessment Methods

Continuous assessment
This unit adopts the continuous assessment model, and the final classification of the trainees is the result of the work developed throughout the course (namely, participation in forums and the performance of evaluation activities). The final classification of each student will be expressed in a scale of 0 - 20 points: 100.0%
