Recommended Prerequisites

B.Sc. level training in Biology, Biochemistry or related fields. Or strong basic knowledge (both conceptual and technical) in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology. English knowledge.

Teaching Methods

The coursework is modular and intensive, mixing the different class typologies to avoid saturation. Lectures introduce and develop different aspects that will then be explored in both lab exercises, and via the student-oriented analysis and discussion of recent research articles in the field. The goal is to integrate different levels of information and also project what future Masters and PhD-level research Projects might be carried out in the future.

Learning Outcomes

The student should apply previous knowledge in Physiology, Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology to the specific field of Reproductive Biology, inding endocrinology, gametogenesis and embryogenesis and Assisted Reproduction. Practical lab exercises will include analysis of testicular cells and gametes.
