2nd Cycle Studies - Mestrado
Recommended Prerequisites
Mathematical tools acquired in the curricular units of Math and Physics.
Teaching Methods
The classes operate in two distinct modes: theoretical/ practical classes with students concentrated on a single class and laboratory classes, where the students are divided into groups.
The theoretical evaluation is performed by a final exam. The evaluation of the Laboratory component requires the presence of all students in 75% of all classes. Also the students will develop a fieldwork after those two types of classes.
Learning Outcomes
Various subjects are studied for practical application important for the future electrical engineer in automation and in medicine branches. To provide skills for the autonomous development of nondestructive systems. Discussion of fundamental aspects related to the NDT in general and the use of ultrasound in particular. Development of techniques associated with the most common transducers and ways to improve characteristics. Understand the visualization techniques by ultrasound for the different application fields
