Teaching Methods
The theoretical concepts presented in the classes are followed by the execution of practical exercises that require the use of optical and laser 3D data acquisition systems and its subsequent modelling process. The students make several mandatory projects along the semester. The evaluation is made through a written exam (50%) and the practical projects (50%).
Learning Outcomes
The aim of this curricular unit is: i) to develop skills and competences of using several systems and technologies for the acquisition of 3D point clouds in different Engineering and Sciences knowledge areas; ii) to develop the necessary knowledge for transforming these 3D point clouds into models with the adequate realism for each application area.
