Theoretical-practical classes with detailed presentation, using audiovisual means, of the concepts, principles and fundamental theories and solving of basic practical exercises to illustrate the practical interest of the subject and exemplify its application to real cases.
Laboratory classes of a experimental-type or simulation-type (using software for design/simulation of RF circuits) in which students should apply theoretical concepts that were taught in order to consolidate the same.
Acquire the basic concepts related to analysis and design of RF electronic circuits used in telecommunications, with focus on their implementation in monolithic bipolar and CMOS VLSI technologies. With this course students should be able to analyze, design and validate through simulation (using leading software tools in RF design such as the tool ADS-Advanced Design Systems ) or lab experimentally electronic circuits such as impedance transformer circuits, low-noise amplifiers, tuned amplifiers, power amplifiers, and mixers.
