Teaching Methods

Tutorial monitoring (face-to-face and with ICT resources) of the PhD students throughout the whole PhD thesis preparation process (by the supervisors).

Learning Outcomes

The orientation of the doctoral thesis aims to provide doctoral students with the acquisition of skills necessary for the autonomous preparation of an original and innovative research project with a disciplinary, interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary research,.

Specific Skills:

- Development of skills that allow an independent management of the research process, the mastering in the field of methodology and techniques used, problem solving, to know the scientific writing and the procedures associated with the publication of scientific articles with peer review, to identify the ethical procedures associated with the scientific research in education;

Cross-disciplinary skills:

-of communication with the scientific community and society in general, using different media;

-in the field of team work and within the construction of research networks;

-management of human and financial resources within the research in education;

-management of the professional career.

The syllabus associated to the elaboration of the PhD dissertation are related with the advanced knowledge and the specific and cross-disciplinary competences which the PhD students should be progressively acquiring in the domains of the instrumental and thematic areas (disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary) necessary to the successful completion of the PhD dissertation .
