Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical classes involving detailed presentation of concepts, principles and relevant mathematical models and resolution of some problems to help the understanding of the concepts. Laboratory  classes with analysis and implementation of digital bandpass communication systems  based on electronic kits, software defined radio platforms and matlab/simulink

Learning Outcomes

The objective is to present the fundamentals of modern digital communication system design and to evaluate the performance of digital signaling schemes on realistic communication channels. Emphasis is placed on waveform design and receiver design.
