Teaching Methods

This unit comprises two distinct periods. Initially it includes a theoretical review of the subject under review. It follows a period of discussion and interaction between teachers and students.

Learning Outcomes

1. Get knowledge of the methodological procedures for collecting information;
2. Understanding the process of quantitative and qualitative research and its practical application;
3. Internalize the basics concerning the preparation of data collection instruments, their application and processing;
4. Develop support and statistical methods for decision making.

Syllabus

1. Basic skills in statistics, particularly in descriptive statistics;
2. Probability Theory , including the most important discrete and continuous distributions, and
3. Statistical inference.

Assessment
The evaluation will be carried out through an individual written test which (0 a 20 values), without consultation that may be supplemented by a review group work (0 to 20 values), adopting in this situation the weighted average of the evaluation items: 100.0%
