Teaching Methods

Theoretical-practical classes involving detailed presentation of concepts, principles and relevant mathematical models and resolution of some problems to help the understanding of the concepts. Laboratory  classes with analysis and implementation of analog and digital communication systems  based on electronic kits, software defined radio platforms and matlab/simulink.

Learning Outcomes

The central objective is a unifying learning process focused on concepts, fundamental principles and

mathematical models supporting the theory of communication systems aiming at creating competencies of analysis, modelling, simulation, design strategies and measurement of essential parameters of communication systems. The course will address bandpass systems with analog carrier modulation and baseband digital transmission systems.
