Compulsory
2nd Cycle Studies - Mestrado
Recommended Prerequisites
Electromagnetics; Waves and Propagation
Teaching Methods
Theoretical and practical classes with a detailed presentation of the concepts, principles, and fundamental theories. In addition, several basic practical exercises will be solved to illustrate the practical interest of the subject and exemplify its application to real cases. Laboratorial classes where the student will experimentally characterize the radiation properties of some standard antennas.
Evaluation: computational practical assignments – 20%; practical laboratory work – 20%; final exam -60%.
Learning Outcomes
Learning of the fundamental principles that enable the radiation of electromagnetic waves and their application to the analysis, design and characterization of the most common types of antennas.
