Learning Outcomes
- Identification and use of principles and rules of the new administrative law of regulation; enable students to be familiar with the new trends in administrative law; learn the fundamental rules of Competition Law.
- Understanding the practice of regulatory systems of certain economic sectors.

1. Evolution of the State: from the Liberal State to the Regulatory State, in particular; disengagement of the State; independent regulatory authorities; services of general economic interest;
2. Examination of specific areas in the regulatory field: e.g. water and waste, electric power, ports, financial sector;
3. Competition policy or regulation: fundamental (national and European) rules.
