Teaching Methods

Tutorials with analysis and discussion of book chapters and scientific articles, continuous assessment of the coherence the work plan and the expected results, assessment of the student’s progress in research work, until the date of the thesis submission.

Learning Outcomes

The aim of this module is that students develop competencies, skills and research methods in the field of Polymer Science and Technology, namely:

a) The ability to systematically understand the issues and problems in this area; b) The ability to conceive and undertake research, respecting the requirements imposed by standards of quality, ethics, academic integrity and business; c) The ability to write a significant body of original scientific work, that contributes to the expansion of existing knowledge and is worthy of publication in national and international peer-reviewed journals; d) The ability to critically analyse, evaluate and systematize complex new ideas related to specific scientific topics and general society issues; e) The ability to communicate with their peers, the academic community at large and the general public on the topic studied.
