Learning Outcomes

The introduction of this new course is related to the fact that it is necessary to carry out closer monitoring of the progress of activities carried out by the student by a specialized scientific committee, which will be part or the majority of the jury of the defense of dissertation, particularly in relation to the development of scientific writing, synthesis and communication skills by the students. This new course complements the existing courses of Seminar  I and  Initiation to Scientific Research, where students only perform an oral presentation of their project, since in here they will have to submit a detailed written document about their thesis project, including the state of the art, objectives, hypotheses and detailed experimental design and the analysis of the results obtained so far.

Syllabus

In this course students will have to submit a detailed written report on the thesis plan (variable depending on the topic of the plan), including state of the art, goals, working hypotheses, experimental design and data obtained to date. They will have also to defend the plan before a specialized scientific committee.
