Practical Studies II - Canoeing and those of access to the 2nd year of the degree.

The assessment may be performed by frequency

a) Frequency

-Required a minimum of 75% attendance on classes

- Written mid-term test (60 minutes).

- Practical mid-term test.

- Perform a dossier with reports of the training sessions of the training canoeing centre.

-In none of the assessment moments the student may have less than 7.5/20, being the final average higher than 9.5/20 for approval.

Learning Outcomes

- Manage canoeing in waters of 3rd level;

- Know the fundamental aspects of the technique in kayak and canoe;

- Know how to transmit the aspects concerning to safety and paddling technique;

- Be capable to guide the process of teaching canoeing;

- Master the pedagogical progressions of the teaching-learning process in canoeing;

- Master the techniques of rescue at sea and river;

- Be able to create playful learning situations of canoeing;

- Be able to organize, lead and animate canoeing’ activities safely.

- Introducing canoeing. Characterization of canoeing as a sport and leisure activity.

- Technique of kayaking.

- Technique of canoe.

- -Resources/training tools and technical assessment: measuring intensity, observation and technical correction, software.

- Equipment: selection of boat and paddle, repair.

- Hidrodynamics.

- Safety and rescue: water difficulties, personal safety, rescue.Security management and planning in nautical tourism.

- Planning and carrying out activities of canoeing.

- Didactics of canoeing: steps in the teaching-learning process; teaching canoeing in school context.
