Teaching Methods

The theoretical content of the course unit will be presented through lectures illustrated whenever possible with practical cases.

Students will asked about the topics taught in such a way as to guidel them to new knowledge. The lecturer will also work through exercises during these classes.

Students will work out exercises under the guidance of the lecturer duing theory-practical classes.

Learning Outcomes

To understand the phenomena of sound propagation.

To understand the effects of noise on people.

To know and know how to apply national legislation on environmental noise and noise in buildings.

To know the main standards for environmental noise and building acoustics measurement.

To understand how different materials and construction systems influence noise control.
