Teaching Methods
The Chemistry Lab II unit involves the practical implementation of various experiments in Organic Chemistry, Material Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry in a modular fashion. It is intended that the unit serves as a practical support to the disciplines of the second semester of second year. Practical works carried out are directly related to the syllabus of the subjects taught. Students attending in different laboratories adapted to teaching each area.
Learning Outcomes
The unit of Chemistry Lab II is an experimental discipline articulated with theoretical chemistry courses taught in the second half of the second year: Organic Chemistry II, Material Chemistry, Physical Chemistry II, Analytical Chemistry I
• The general and specific skills involve:
Knowledge and ability to understand; Recognize and apply, at an experimental level, basic principles of the chemistry courses indicated; Ability to analyze, synthesize and understand; Application of knowledge and understanding; Skills to properly implement laboratory procedures of unit operations and other standard procedures, using instrumentation; Use of judgment / decision-making; Capabilities for an adequate interpretation of observations and laboratory measurements and to relate them properly with the appropriate theories; Be able to communicate results and conclusions of experimental studies clearly, Acquire skills to enable self-learning throughout life.
