Recommended Prerequisites

Frequency of the courses of the first year of the Master in Biochemistry and the course on Seminar I.

Teaching Methods

Under the guidance of the supervisor the student must perform: the definition of the study plan, the experimental work and preparation of a dissertation or a project report.

The English language is widely used, not only because the international context of the teaching, as most of the technical literature is in that language.

Learning Outcomes

In this course the student will perform laboratory work, under the guidance of a supervisor, applying prior knowledge in the investigation of new problems and techniques in the field of biochemistry. The student must submit a final work (project report or thesis) properly structured, with a critical description of main activities and complete the unit able to perform laboratory work independently.

The work program as well as its implementation will be defined by the student in close connection with the supervisor, including choosing a topic, planning the experimental work and presentation of results.
