Learning Outcomes

The stage laboratory intends to prepare the student for the attainment of scientific research beginning in the research problems, developing her creative ability and critical thinking and instilling in him a taste for research and for solving problems.

 

Generic skills:

Skills for the student in this course are:

-application of chemical knowledge learned and ability to understand the resolution of current problems

-skills in the evaluation and interpretation of data and other information of a chemical nature

-aptitude for developing visions of global synthesis;

- Ability to argue, either in written or oral.

- Capabilities for proper interpretation of observations and laboratory measurements and relate them correctly with the appropriate theories;

- Communication skills in written and spoken English and Portuguese.

Syllabus

The internship is supervised by a faculty member appointed by the course Coordinator, following applications from students for the projects proposed by faculty and researchers from the Department of Chemistry. The project carried out during the internship involves experimental and / or theoretical work related to current research topics or applied chemistry. Since Laboratory Internship is a research course, it does not have a specific schedule. However, students must complete an amount of working hours in accordance with the number of ECTS of the discipline.
