Learning Outcomes

General objective

To present a wide range of management issues and experiences faced by managers in modern organizations. The perspective taken is that of the multidisciplinary vision of the organization in the process of value creation. The transmission of the theoretical foundations of management is accompanied with practical exemplification and skills training.

Specific objectives

Sensitize students to the basics of management: organization and functions of the manager;

Synthesize the evolution of management ideas on how managers influence people, organizations and it context to achieve organizational goals;

Framing the organization in it environment and emphasize the importance of social responsibility in the sustainable development of the organization;

Describe the main stages of the management process, in aspects related to planning, organization, direction and control;

Understand the management of an organization in terms of its main functional areas.

Assessment
The student is recommended to adopt a continuous evaluation compsed by tests and teamwork (70%/30%). The student can opt for the realization of a final exam wich will represent 100% of his final grade: 100.0%
