The rise of State intervention – from Welfare State to Regulatory State.

 

Regulatory State: state disengagement in social and economic life (privatizations, liberalizations, public and private partnerships);

 

Regulatory State: degovernmentalization of regulation (independente administration: rationale, powers, responsibilities, legitimacy)

 

Regulatory State and Public Services: services of general economic interest (concept, legal framework applicable to public financing)
