Learning Outcomes

Analysis of thermodynamic transformations based on the interpretation of diagrams (temperature, entropy) and Mollier;

Understanding of the concepts inherent to the mass and energy conservation equations;

To solve balances calculations using a systematic approach.

To solve mass and energy balances fundamentally applied to environmental systems.

To know the basic components and understand the working principle of thermodynamic machines as gas engines (Otto, Diesel and Brayton cycles), steam engines (Rankine cycle) and refrigeration equipment (vapor compression refrigeration cycle).

The competencies identified in the essential knowledge associated with the program set to discipline.

The competencies are identified mainly with the knowledge defined in the curricular unit program.
