1. Chemical elements and yours and your organization. The Periodic Table; Electron energy in atoms.

2. Properties and transformations of matter: chemical bonding; chemical transformations.

3. Chemical equilibrium: Quantitative aspects of chemical reactions; Chemical equilibrium and extent of chemical reactions. Reactions in aqueous systems: Acid-base reactions; Oxidation-reduction reactions; Solutions and solubility equilibrium.

4. Introduction to organic chemistry. Functional groups and nomenclature
