3rd Cycle Studies
Recommended Prerequisites
The student must master all the knowledge on biostatistics and biomedicine acquired at a basic level.
Teaching Methods
A theoretical class will include a concise review of the material to be covered and its links to previous classes, always with an emphasis on the learning of decision making skills. A theoretical and conceptual analysis is then provided. The next phase is oriented towards problem based learning using practical examples. Given that in the theoretical classes we discuss problem solving techniques this provides a direct link to the independent material shown in the practical classes.
Learning Outcomes
This course on quantitative Methods on Fundamental, Pre-clinical, Translational and Clinical Research further consolidates the understanding how biostatistical methods can be used to infer population characteristics based on appropriate samples. The link with modelling and multivariate approaches is also used in this Course.
