Teaching Methods
Reading texts focusing on the interpretation and analysis of relevant linguistic aspects; constant interaction between teacher and students; Exercises carried out by students in class, in order to systematize the topics included in the syllabus.
Learning Outcomes
The course aims to develop students’ linguistic-communicative proficiency in spoken and written Portuguese, increasing their autonomy in the comprehension and production of a wide variety of increasingly complex texts, in accordance with CEFR guidelines for level C1.
Competencies:
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
(i) produce fluent and well-structured speech in different communication situations;
(ii) interpret and produce formally and thematically diverse written texts;
(iii) have a good command of Portuguese vocabulary and grammatical structures as well as of the devices for creating cohesive and coherent texts and discourses of different types.
