Teaching Methods
The teaching methodology includes teacher’s exhibition of theoretical and practical-theoretical matters, through the use of lectures, audiovisual and interactive and student’s presentation of theoretical-practical tasks.
Ongoing evaluation consists of the elaboration of tasks about the unit syllabus.
Learning Outcomes
To promote theoretical and practical knowledge in the intervention with students with special educational needs (SEN) and their inclusion in Physical education classes and to develop the skills of the future physical educators to plan and to implement appropriate programs to the specific needs of all learners.
Learning outcomes:
- Recognize the definition, classification and etiology of special needs and master the educational strategies according to the characteristics of the population;
- Inventory materials and resources available and use appropriate strategies for inclusion in PE classes;
- Propose appropriate tasks according to the psychomotor characteristics of the different special needs: Hearing impairments; Visual impairments; Physical disabilities; Intellectual disabilities; Development disorders and Autism.

Evaluation of the physical fitness level of students with SEN, in PE context: 30.0%
Planning and presenting exercises, with the purpose for students to simulate an adapted activity for students with SEN, in the context of inclusive PE, for each of the disabilities: 30.0%
Field work where students are encouraged to interview professionals of inclusive education, integrated into a research and Synthesis work of a topic of the theoretical class. This theme is selected by students and performed in group, being presented in the classroom, followed by discussion and interactive questioning: 40.0%
