Recommended Prerequisites

To have completed the curricular units included in the 1st year of the Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education.

Teaching Methods

Favors a model of pedagogical supervision that combines the knowledge of the techniques and intervention strategies and information about the trainee's skills develop and their translation into operational objectives, characteristic of a behaviorist model, with the construction of knowledge in an active way systematized by reflection, characteristic of a reflective scenario, as well as the deepening of reflexivity in the process of professional development, which are intended to be offered experiences and / or different contexts, near an ecological model of pedagogic supervision.

Learning Outcomes

Through a process of autonomous professional practice, although guided and supervised, it is intended to develop alongside with professional ethics dimension, three types of skills:

1 - Planning - developing skills for the planning of teaching, grounded in scientific and professional knowledge to meet the statement of official programs, through a selection of objectives, contents, teaching methodologies and strategies adapted to the reality of the context.

2 - Intervention - know the techniques and teaching strategies relating to four major dimensions of pedagogical intervention (Instruction, Management, Climate and Discipline) and mobilize them in order to enhance the learning of their students.

3 - Evaluation - be able to assess student learning in diagnostic, formative and summative dimension, building and / or selecting correctly the processes, techniques and tools for the purpose.

The SP aims, through a teaching practice in a real and oriented situation, promote the integration of theoretical knowledge in order to professionalize competent PE teachers.

Have underlying a set of structured tasks in three dimensions :

Planning - after decisions about teaching model, the in-service student should produce an annual plan to the class, which should give rise to other units of planning - didactic unit and lesson.

Implementation - teach classes using quality indicators on the pedagogical effectiveness. Additional forms may be proposed to acquire specific skills of this dimension.

Evaluation - produce planning documents of evaluation and reports of diagnostic, formative and summative evaluation, referring to student learning, providing information about the differences between the anticipated and achieved.
