Computational Methods in Mathematics Teaching

Recommended Prerequisites

2 semesters of Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, Probability and Statistics.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical talks, didactical discussions and practice with the computer (one computer per student).

Learning Outcomes

Students should be knowledgeable and with a critical perspective in the use of different types of software connected to different topics of Mathematics (Geometry, Functions, Statistics) so that they are able to integrate them successfully in their future teaching.

Exploration of tools for the learning of Mathematics.

Programmming and Mathematics; LOGO language.

Graphing calculators in the teaching of Mathematics.

The vision of the change in the curriculum of Basic and Secondary Education with respect to the use of technological resources.

Internet and Mathematics teaching.
