Disciplines of a 1st cycle in Chemistry or Physics.
Teaching Methods
The laboratorial activities - planned by the students, including the experimental procedure and list of material/reagents needed - will be discussed with the responsible academic member. Particular relevance will be given to the planning at the apropriate teaching level.
The laboratorial procedure is then tested and the corresponding report is written (the results being analysed with dedicated software). The latter should comprise, when justified, suggestions for modifications both in the experimental work and in the methodology to be applied.
Learning Outcomes
This CU has the central objective of promoting the experimental teaching of Chemistry, within the concepts of Science-Technology-Society (STS) of the teaching of Sciences, through the consolidation of scientific knowledge and laboratory techniques skills.
General skills to develop:
> Skills in the use of experimentation in the knowledge construction.
> Skills in the articulate treatment of the themes / concepts / principles in a laboratory setting
> Skills to suit laboratory activities to teaching Chemistry in secondary school
> Skills in the use of various teaching resources, including Information and Communication Technologies
> Skills in laboratory organization
> Skills of observation, experimentation, evaluation, abstraction and generalization.
> Skills in written and oral communication.
