Learning Outcomes

This curricular unit aims to provide the students with the competencies needed to teach the syllabus of Biology and Geology in Basic and Secondary Education

Competences

Knowledge and understanding of concepts in the teaching of Biology and Geology

Ability to search, synthesize and communicate new information, ideas and problems

Ability to adapt to new situations, methodologies and tecnologies

Ability to assess situations and decision-making

Adoption of an assertive attitude in solving problems in school contexts, in particular in the classroom

Ability to assume/develop an  analytical and critical attitude of the work carried out by themselves or by others based on solid scientific knowledge

Use of  the appropriate means of communication in different environments, in school or other contexts

Ability to independently define problems/questions and carry out research work, in the context of  teaching  practices, using an appropriate methodology
