Teaching Methods
The course consists of theoretical sessions and theoretical-practical sessions. In practical classes students have the opportunity to carry out assessments of the energetic pathways using the laboratory equipment available, tasks in which the students will be also evaluated.
One of components of assessment will be made through a final exam.
Learning Outcomes
It is intended that the student can understand:
The energy sources and all of the mechanisms involved in its supply to the body, in rest situations or in exercise situations.
The anaerobic and aerobic system as well as exercises that are included in each.
The cardiovascular system, its functions and adaptations to stress.
The Skeletal Muscle: Structure and Function
Neural control of human movement
The endocrine system: organization and acute and chronic responses to exercise
The type of adaptations that occur in our bodies when we are under extreme environmental stress.
In order to assess different energy pathways.
