The teaching methods are based on interactive learning supported with tutorial guidance provided by the supervisor, which includes the following methods:

[2] Active learning from library resources

[3] Frequency to seminars

[4] Developing scientific writing skills

[5] Performance of laboratory work.

Learning Outcomes

The Final Dissertation curricular unit will take place through the development of a research project, with or without experimental component, according to the project previously defined by the student under the guidelines of his/her supervisor and approved by the Scientific Committee of the Faculty.

Syllabus

The syllabus derived directly from the curricular unit´s objective providing a theoretical framework of a set of issues related the Biokinetics in a broad scope, including more specific topics in the context of methodology, experimental design as well as data analysis, important to complete the dissertation task. During this tutorial process, students are intended to develop, among others, the following skills:

[2] Capacity of argument against the options of a methodological nature

[3] Discuss about a topic based on new lines of research

[3] Update their reference sources

[4] Develop the power to argument and discuss results

[5] Transfer knowledge into an application field

[6] Skills to write scientific papers.

A bibliografia apresenta dois níveis que designamos por bibliografia básica e de desenvolvimento. No primeiro caso inclui-se a bibliografia de leitura obrigatória que corresponde a obras de referência em termos de definição do design experimental, em termos metodológicos ou em termos de análise de dados e no segundo a bibliografia temática que será da responsabilidade específica de cada orientador e estudante.

The bibliography has two levels which we call basic bibliography and developmentbibliography. In the first case includes the bibliography of required reading that corresponds to reference works in terms of defining the experimental design, in methodological terms or in terms of data analysis and in the second thematic bibliography which will be the specific responsibility of each supervisor and student.
