Teaching Methods

Seminars focus on the discussion of readings and viewing and analysis of films relevant for the discussion in accordance to the objectives of the course.

Learning Outcomes

- Understand the major theoretical and philosophical debates about film as an art form.

- Develop knowledge of how different authors have participated in these debates.

- Grasp concepts that can be used productively in the appreciation and interpretation of films and the analysis of their role in social and political structures.

- Articulate the previous points in written and oral expression.
