Recommended Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of building technology for the design of water supply and sewage drainage systems in buildings.

Teaching Methods

Teaching model both theoretical and practical, combining in a balanced way theoretical presentations, presentation and discussion of case studies, critical participation by students (including the development of mini-projects), and also the contact with entities and relevant external projects, either through guest speakers, or through field visits.

Learning Outcomes

This course unit is intended primarily to provide the student survey methodologies of technical installations in buildings as well as the detection of anomalies in its functioning.

The student should know the requirements underlying the interventions in facilities, among which we highlight the increase in consumption, the existence of new standards of comfort, new safety requirements or new regulatory requirements in various fields.

The student should understand the possibilities of rehabilitation of existing facilities and the problems of reconciling them, their extension and others that may eventually be introduced.
