Teaching Methods

In teaching the course, it is anticipated the presentation of theoretical concepts and advanced knowledge on the topics defined in the syllabus. This will be followed by exemplification. This will be complemented by case studies about the various issues.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge on the basics on inspection and diagnosis of structural concrete

Understanding on the most frequent pathologies of concrete structures, including their causes and consequences.

Competences on structural inspection, including selection of procedures, programming of the intervenctions and analyses of the results.

Competences on the definition of the strenghtening intervention, including selection of procedures, design, implementation and quality control.

Monitoring of structural concrete.
