Teaching Methods

The subject presents lessons of both theoretical and practical nature.

The lectures are essentially expository, seeking to fulfill the contents in the syllabus, though a sequential and structured presentation of images.

The practical classes are undertaken in the form of Discussion Groups on the topics covered in the lectures and they are intended to relate, in a thoughtful way, disciplinary content, the systematization of the proposed work and the relevance of the topics covered.

Learning Outcomes

We intend to provide the students with a comprehensive and critical vision of the processes of transformation of the territory and the urban space, meaning the support to define an intervention strategy, nowadays.

Emphasize de development of the following competencies:

- Criteria and insight in choosing the case studies

- Criteria in the recall of  information and research material

- Capacity to develop critical thinking and arguing

- Capacity to question and to define the problem

- Capacity to expose with clarity their ideas.

• The way as science and technology, in particular architecture and engineering, shape the territory and the urban space

• The road and rail network as an organization system of the territory; infrastructures and equipment
